Antonietta Collins
Antonietta Toni Gonzalez-Collins is a Mexican-American sportscaster. She currently works as an ESPN sportscaster. ESPN and is anchor for SportsCenter as well as hosting SportsNation. She joined ESPN as a reporter in 2016. She is a daughter of Maria Antonieta Collins, a TV reporter. Antonietta Collins is bi-lingual and has been since when she was nine years old. This skill has helped her get her first position at Univision, Miami. She was able to work alongside national producers on shows such as Nuestra Belleza Latina Premios Lo Nuestro Premios Juventud Primer Impacto. After this, the CBS subsidiary located in St. Petersburg employed her as a sports reporter. Then, in 2009 the reporter relocated from St. Petersburg to Rio Grande Valley Texas where she worked for KNVO TV 48 Univision as in addition to Fox2 News. Covering stories on the issue of immigration and drug trafficking from both sides of the border, she worked as a reporter on five minutes of the p.m. Spanish newscast a anchor, reporter and later anchor for the 9 p.m. newscast, which was in English and also an anchor for the 10 p.m. Spanish newscast. The duties of anchoring on sports and weather was regularly requested. Deportes 23 is Univision Dallasstation, which is where she takes on more responsibility. The family moved to Mexico City, where Antonietta Collins was born on November 1985. She is the elder sibling of her parents. There is an older sibling. In 1992, her parents separated soon after. In 1995, she was remarried Fabio Fajardo, naval engineer, who passed away in 2006 due to kidney cancer. The couple stayed with her family in Canton Ohio with her older sister in the summertime and was given a job. Antonietta was the senior of her high school however, she had a clear idea of what she wanted to do in her future career. She visited Mount Union University in order to see if it was a good fit for her. The campus was beautiful and provided the education she was looking for. She graduated from high school and was enrolled in media studies at the University. Mark Bergmann, her professor who also managed WRMU's 91.1FM station, where she was employed for a number of years, was a friend. The professor encouraged her to believe in herself and was deeply touched by his enthusiasm for journalism.
